Daily Schedule

Day 1: Foundations of Sound & Singing Bowls

9:00 AM – 9:30 AM: Sacred Opening Ceremony Traditional Invocation: Begin with a Tibetan mantra chant (Om Mani Padme Hum) and lighting of butter lamps to honor ancestral healing traditions. Intention Setting: Guided meditation to align personal goals (e.g., healing, career growth, spiritual awakening).

9:30 AM – 11:00 AM: History & Theory

Sound Healing Through Ages: Ancient Civilizations: Explore Egyptian hieroglyphs, Greek Apollo’s lyre, and Aboriginal didgeridoo rituals. Himalayan Legacy: Role of bowls in Buddhist monasteries for meditation and rituals. Singing Bowl Origins: Debates on Tibetan vs. Nepali heritage; the seven-metal alloy (gold, silver, copper, iron, tin, lead, mercury) and its symbolic resonance.

11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Instrument Mastery

Playing Techniques: Striking: Use felt, leather, and wooden mallets for varied tones. Rimming: Circular motion to sustain harmonics; pressure adjustments for pitch control. Choosing Your Bowl: Hands-on session testing bowls of different sizes (8cm–30cm) and pitches (root chakra bowls vs. crown chakra bowls).
